2023 Events

Join us this summer for a variety of fundraising events that support our mission to transform relationships with farming and food for a healthier planet! Whether you choose to join us for our Farm to Table series showcasing world class culinary talent and food from local producers or for our annual beer festival Beers in the Barn that brings together over two dozen local breweries, we hope you don’t miss your chance to partake in the fun. These events will be held in either our historic Mallet Barn or new Smith Center for Education and Research.

Green Crab Derby

Join us at Wolfe’s Neck Center on Saturday, June 24th to participate in this exciting volunteer event! In an effort to suppress the invasive European green crab, we are asking volunteers to help collect them from the intertidal zone of Wolfe’s Neck Center. Following a brief presentation, volunteers will take a wagon ride to the coast, buckets in hand, to collect as many green crabs as possible. Attendees will learn how to repurpose green crabs in tasty culinary treats and in the compost pile. Collected green crabs will either be taken home or added to the Wolfe’s Neck Center compost pile. The attendee who collects the most green crabs will win a night of camping at Wolfe’s Neck Oceanfront Campground!

Leading the Way on Climate Smart Agriculture

Recently, Wolfe’s Neck Center received up to $35 million via a grant from the USDA’s Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities program, which aims to support agriculture’s ability to become a solution to climate change. We wanted to share with you what this means for Wolfe’s Neck Center.
