Elena Ardell

Elena is from Houlton in Aroostook County, Maine, where most of her summers were spent at either her family’s orchard and tree farm, embarking on hikes in Baxter State Park, or playing soccer. Elena is pursuing a double major in History and Computer Science with a minor in Urban Studies at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. At Bowdoin, when she’s not in class or studying, she is a trip leader for the Outing Club and volunteers her time as a mentor at Bowdoin Central School. In the fall, she spent her fall break on a five-day canoe expedition, exploring the North Maine Woods and the Penobscot River, fueling her passion for outdoor adventures. This summer she looks forward to getting to know new people and animals, learning more about coastal farming, and having fun in the sun!
