In 2013 the Freeport Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors determined that it wanted to recognize an extraordinary individual who has contributed to both the business and social community of Freeport.

After the long, cold winter of 2013-2014, there was much to do but I could envision the transformation of the barren, covered beds to a beautiful garden in bloom. I was definitely up for the challenge and ready to begin.

We recognize that you likely have many incredible and worthwhile organizations who are asking for your support this time of year.

This afternoon we ventured to Wolfe’s Neck Farm to assist the farm in whatever needed to be done. Eric Tadlock, the Director of Education, first asked us to introduce ourselves and then gave us an overview of his job.

The chickens are out on pasture right now, eating up grass and bugs and greening the grass behind them.
