Chas Van Damme

While he bounced around the world for the bulk of his childhood, Chas is happy to call Harpswell, Maine his home. Having recently graduated from Bates College, obtaining a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a focus on global environmental policy, he maintains a passion for learning wherever he goes.

With experience stewarding Maine preserves, a background in environmental education, and an open mind, he dedicates his work toward building community resilience and advancing local solutions to the climate crisis. He could not have found a better place to continue this work than at Wolfe’s Neck Center, where he is thrilled to surround himself with such wonderful folks!

While not at work, you will likely find him backpacking, riding his bike, or whacking some tennis balls around.
