Sophie Silberman

Hey Wolfe’s Neck! My name is Sophie and I’m so excited for Farm Camp this summer! I graduated from Kenyon College in May with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a focus in environmental studies. I grew up in Montclair, NJ, but I spent most summers growing up at a sleepaway camp just around the corner from Freeport––there is nothing like summer in Maine 🙂 I’m looking forward to teaching some experiential education on the farm and in the wilderness this summer and I’m most excited to lead overnight camp-outs every Thursday. I love getting dirty, hiking, swimming, canoeing, farming and cooking. At Wolfe’s Neck, we have the opportunity to contribute to the workings of a sustainable food system and reap its benefits. How cool!

‘It’s a sad time to be a farmer.’

The USDA funding freeze is hitting Wolfe’s Neck Center hard. We are asking for your help to continue connecting people to agriculture and training the next generation of farmers.
