Explore Our Coastal Farm

Discover Wolfe’s Neck Center—from farmlands to woodlands and coastal shoreline. Whether you’re on our scenic hiking trails, paddling the calm waters of Casco Bay, or biking through our unique landscapes, there’s endless opportunity to explore and connect with nature.

Hike Our Trails

Explore over three miles of some of the best hiking trails at Wolfe’s Neck Center, open year-round for outdoor adventure. Whether you’re walking or running in the summer, or hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing in the winter, our nature trails offer year-round access. With a blend of forest and ocean habitats, it’s a prime destination for birdwatching and wildlife spotting.

See Life On the Farm

Our organic dairy farm is open to the public, and you can walk through the Wishcamper Livestock Education Barn, where you’ll see sustainable farming in action and meet our sheep, goats, chickens, and calves. During the colder months, our animals are indoors, but in summer, they roam the pastures. Barns are open year-round, from dawn to dusk, offering a true farm experience for visitors of all ages.

See What’s Growing

Visit our Education Garden near the Little River Farmhouse to see Maine plants up close. Tended by volunteers and apprentices, this hands-on space offers learning for all ages—adults can explore with helpful signs, while kids engage their senses through touch, smell, and color.

You can find the Education Garden next to the Little River Farmhouse at 184 Burnett Rd, Freeport.

The USDA funding freeze is hitting Wolfe’s Neck Center hard. We are asking for your help to continue connecting people to agriculture and training the next generation of farmers.
